"I see Hindus using right wing to describe themselves and left to describe their opponents like Bloomsbury. But Bloomsbury is the one who is right-wing racist colonial imperialist. Not Hindus.
Bloomsbury is not “left wing.” They are racist colonial imperialists." – @hinduamericans
Modi has completed more progressive initiatives than US Democrats have in 30 years.

I feel it is possible to be conservative in ones own life, while working for freedom of opportunity for all, liberal.
I also feel we should also use the term patriot not nationalist due to it's connotations in the West.
Are there other term we should use/redefine? Your thoughts?
I'm From India,, I did not know that West people have so much problem with the word Nationalist, today it came to know
I think the fundamental mistake we make is assuming that a left-leaning person can't be a devout Hindu (the term non-left is often used). Which is why there's often gate-keeping on what kind of beliefs a Hindu must have in terms of not only politics & international affairs, but also culture & society.
In my opinion, the Hindu identity should be our primary identity and all others - political ideology, nationality, language, culture, caste should be kept secondary. Some people have proposed the term "Dharmic Wing" to highlight this.
Externally, the global Hindu community must put forward an united face on Hindu issues, but internally, there should be passionate, frenzied arguments and discussions.
