Hi all, just wanted to encourage everyone to check out my page @HindooHistory on Twitter and Instagram. I'm also on Facebook under the same name. I've been tracing the history of American attitudes towards Hindus and Hinduism via the construct of the "Hindoo," primarily through archival newspaper materials. It's been an enlightening experience so far and I'm excited about where the project is going. I think it's especially important for us to understand the history of media representations of the "Hindoo" in order to contextualize contemporary media coverage. Happy to answer any questions. Feedback is also appreciated.
